Max von Abendroth is the Executive Director of the European Magazine Media Association (EMMA), a position he has held since 2009. He is also the Founder of the Future Media Lab. think tank initiative, a Brussels-based forum on media innovation and EU policy that facilitates and drives the exchange of knowledge between representatives of Europe’s media sector, politicians and other stakeholders.

Prior to joining EMMA, Max worked at the German Association of Magazine Publishers, VDZ. He is sitting on the Board of Euractiv Foundation. Max holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from Witten/Herdecke University, Germany.

Daniel is a Senior Director at IHS, where he oversees the global advertising research, consulting and forecasting practice. His main research areas include media market disruption, the re-architecting of the media industry through data-driven approaches, publishers’ digital innovation strategies, platform economics, advertising technology, and consumer privacy.

Prior to IHS, Daniel worked in media policy for the State Chancellery in Dusseldorf, Germany, and as a Research Fellow at the European Institute for the Media, a think tank. Daniel is advisor to gannaca, a brand consultancy and think-tank in Cologne. He holds an MSc from the London School of Economics (LSE), where he is also currently completing a PhD.
